The Message of the Cross

THE CROSS WHERE JESUS GAVE HIS LIFE

He bowed Himself under the cross,
Became the Servant of man.
He freely suffered there for us,
He took our punishment there.
There are no words for the love He showed,
On Calvary He died alone.

The cross where Jesus gave His life,
It is my glory and my honor.
The cross, the token of God’s perfect love,
Will always be my story and my song.

The cross was risen for the world,
So lost in darkness and shame.
The Son of God became the One,
To bear the burden of man.
Now I can see Him through tears of joy,
He loves me, and He took my place.

The cross where Jesus gave His life,
It is my glory and my honor.
The cross, the token of God’s perfect love,
Will always be my story and my song.

Will always be my story,
It will be the only story,
Will always be my story and my song.

The Gospel of Matthew Chapter 28:9-10

The Women Worship the Risen Lord

And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.
10 The Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”
