The Gospel of Matthew Chapter 17:14-21

And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying,
15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water.
16 “So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.”
17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.”
18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.
19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”
20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
21 “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Move Me Closer

Move me closer,
Move me closer,
Move me closer to the Child.
Let me see Him;
Let me hold His hand.
Move me closer to the Child.

Move me closer,
Move me closer,
Move me closer to the Child.
Let me see Him;
Let me hold His hand.
Move me closer to the Child.

Move me closer,
Move me closer,
Move me closer to the Child.
Let me see Him;
Let me hold His hand.
Move me closer to the Child.

Move me closer to the Child.

You ask me why…

YOU ASK ME WHY…

You ask me why I LOVE Him
That’s not so hard to tell…
He gave me life forever
He saved my soul from hell.

You ask me why I TRUST Him
That’s not so hard to see…
He shows Himself so faithful
Fills every need in me.

You ask me why I PRAISE Him
I have the answer why…
He came to earth, He lived and died
My debt to satisfy.

He was wounded…

Post.04.02.15.HeWasWounded,,,

…for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed. ~Isaiah 53:5

Lord, Your Word tells us that You were wounded for our transgressions, You were bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon You, and by Your stripes, we are healed.

Help us to comprehend the depth and magnitude of this love, which we cannot repay — incomprehensible,  infinitely generous, and unceasingly merciful!

May we also receive it!
